Job Description

About the University

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998, is located in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana. Spread across 200 acres, MANUU is named after Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of Independent India, who played a key role in shaping technical, scientific, and higher education in the country.

Qualifications Required

  • Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
  • Candidate must have cleared NET/SET/CSIR conducted by UGC or equivalent.
  • Candidates awarded Ph.D. in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016 (and amendments) are exempted from NET/SET, subject to conditions such as:
    • Awarded Ph.D. in regular mode only
    • Thesis evaluated by at least two examiners
    • Open viva voce conducted
    • Two research papers published (one in a refereed journal)
    • Two papers presented in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR funded conferences/seminars
  • Candidates with Ph.D. from a top 500 ranked global university (QS, THE, ARWU) are also eligible.

Pay Scale

Up to Rs. 50,000/- per month as per UGC norms.
