Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), formerly known as Marathwada University, was established on August 23, 1958, in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The university is named after Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. BAMU was founded to fulfill the need for higher education in the Marathwada, Vidarbha, and North Maharashtra regions.

Eligibility Criteria
Professor:
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with high-quality published work (minimum 10 publications in Scopus/Web of Science/UGC-listed journals).
- At least 10 years of teaching/research experience.
- OR an outstanding professional with a Ph.D. and 10 years of significant contributions.
Associate Professor:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field with a good academic record.
- Master’s Degree with at least 55%.
- Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience.
- At least 7 publications and a total research score of 75.
Assistant Professor:
- Master’s degree with at least 55% in a relevant subject.
- Qualified NET/SET/SLET or Ph.D. as per UGC norms.
- Ph.D. exemptions are allowed under certain conditions (for degrees awarded before July 11, 2009).
- Foreign Ph.D. degrees considered if from top 500 universities globally (QS, THE, ARWU).

- Professor: Academic Level 14 – ₹1,44,200
- Associate Professor: Academic Level 13A – ₹1,31,400
- Assistant Professor: Academic Level 10 – ₹57,700
