Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal, is seeking candidates for Guest Faculty positions for the academic year 2024-2025. Eligible candidates are invited to appear for a walk-in interview.

Qualifications and Requirements:

For M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication (Day Course):

Subjects:

  • Mass Media and its Development in India (with knowledge of the evolution/history of journalism with special reference to India)
  • Electronic Media: Radio & Television (faculty required only for Television segment)

Qualification:

  • M.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication or allied subject with 55% marks.
  • Ph.D./NET/SET qualified.

For Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication (Evening Course 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM):

Subjects:

  • Reporting & Writing
  • Editing
  • Public Relations
  • Audio Visual Media: Television & Film
  • Radio
  • Media Management

Qualification:

  • M.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication or allied subject with 55% marks
    OR
  • Master’s Degree with 55% marks and 10 years of professional experience.

Job Location:

  • Kolkata, West Bengal

Candidate Profile:

  • Candidates should have completed UG/PG in the relevant discipline with a strong academic background.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Passionate about teaching and guiding students.
  • Strong research background.

Remuneration:

  • ₹500/- per period or per hour.
