The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu was established through a historic Memorandum of Understanding signed on May 01, 2016, between the Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, and the Ministry of Education (formerly MHRD), Government of India. The campus is located at village Jagti, Tehsil Nagrota, around 15 km from the Jammu Airport, conveniently situated on the National Highway NH-44.

Project Title: Low-cost Prosthetics Design and Fabrication using Advanced Textile and Composites Technology
Department: Mechanical Engineering
Duration: Initially for one year (extendable based on performance or till project conclusion, whichever is earlier)

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following:

  • For M.Tech./M.E. applicants:
    • Specializations in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Machine Design, Polymer Science, Composites, Engineering Design, or related streams.
    • B.Tech./B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Polymer Science and Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (or 6.5/10.0 CGPA).
    • A valid GATE score is preferable.
  • For B.Tech./B.E. applicants:
    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering, or related streams.
    • Minimum 60% marks (or 6.5/10.0 CGPA) from Class XII onward.
    • A valid GATE score is preferable.
    • Postgraduate degree in basic science is also acceptable.

Pay Scale
