Educational Qualification:
- Essential: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Bio-Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of Bio-Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Both freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
- Experience in bio-mechanical study, data analysis, and design upgradation of mechanical systems with ergonomics study and prototype development is desirable.
- Experience in data collection with bio-mechanical sensors is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- Exposure to the rural development sector is beneficial but not essential.
- Passion for Development: A keen interest in Bio-Mechanical Engineering and a desire to contribute to the development sector are crucial. Candidates aspiring for a PhD may have the opportunity to enroll at IIT Madras while working on the RuTAG project.
Tenure of the Project:
- Initial duration: 1 year, extendable based on performance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day activities of RuTAG and report to the Project Investigator.
- Study, analyze, design, and develop prototypes of mechanical systems.
- Review, collect, and write technical reports based on Bio-Mechanical studies.
- Engage in fieldwork, interacting with users, fabricators, and design experts.
Job Location:
Chennai, Tamil Nadu
Pay Scale:
- Rs. 21,500/- to Rs. 30,000/- per month (depending on qualifications and prior work experience).
