NIT Calicut Invites Applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

The National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NITC) has announced an exciting opportunity for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the Research Faculty. Eligible and qualified candidates can apply through email for this teaching job.

Job Details

  • Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • Title of the Project: Process development for production of food grade phycoerythrin (C-PE) from Anabaena sp
  • Funding Agency: DSr – SERB (ANRF)
  • Job Location: NIT Calicut, Kerala

Qualifications Required

  • Essential:
    • M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or Bioscience & Bioengineering
    • M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology
    • Qualified in GATE/CSIR-NET/UGC-NET or any other National Level exams conducted by Central Government agencies.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in modeling/simulations and computational engineering.

Project Duration

  • Initial Contract: 1 year
  • Extension: Up to 3 years, based on candidate performance and project funding availability.

Salary and Benefits

  • Stipend: Rs. 37,000/- per month + 16% HRA
