Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – GATE Qualified

  • B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering and M.Tech/M.E. in Structural Engineering (First Class) from an AICTE/MHRD recognized institute/university
  • GATE Score in Civil Engineering (validity not required)
  • Age: Below 35 years

2. Project Associate-I (PA-I) – Non-GATE

  • B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering and M.Tech/M.E. in Structural Engineering (First Class) from an AICTE/MHRD recognized institute/university
  • Age: Below 35 years

3. Project Associate-II (PA-II) – Non-GATE with Experience

  • B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering and M.Tech/M.E. in Structural Engineering (First Class) from an AICTE/MHRD recognized institute/university
  • Minimum 2 years of research experience
  • Age: Below 35 years

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in steel structural design
  • Proficiency in ABAQUS, ANSYS, and similar software

Salary Details

  • JRF (GATE Qualified): ₹31,000 per month
  • PA-I (Non-GATE): ₹25,000 per month
  • PA-II (Non-GATE with Experience): ₹28,000 per month

Job Duration

  • Initially for one year (extendable up to two years based on performance)

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducting experimental and numerical research as per the project requirements
  • Compiling results and preparing reports
  • Opportunity to register for a PhD as per NIT Tiruchirappalli’s regulations
