Project Associate and Junior Research Fellow Jobs at IIT Madras

Educational Qualification

For Project Associate / Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Applied Mechanics.
  • Selection through NET or GATE or a national-level process conducted by the Central Government.

For Post-Doctoral Researcher:

  • PhD in Structural Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Applied Mechanics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Expertise in:
    • Construction materials
    • Polymer processing
    • Experimental analysis
    • Molecular dynamics
    • Finite element analysis

Tenure of the Project

  • Initially for one year, extendable based on performance.

Job Location

  • Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Pay Scale

  • Project Associate / JRF: ₹22,000 – ₹40,000 per month (consolidated).
  • Post-Doctoral Researcher: ₹60,000 – ₹80,000 per month (consolidated).
