Chennai Institute of Technology Research Positions

Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT) announces its faculty recruitment for the 2024-2025 academic year. CIT seeks passionate candidates for roles as Senior Scientists, Junior Scientists, Senior Research Fellows, and Junior Research Fellows in the Centre for Sustainable Materials and Surface Metamorphosis (CSMSM). Qualifications and Skills

1. Senior Scientist

  • Education: B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, and Ph.D. in Engineering with 5+ years of post-Ph.D. research experience
  • Domains and Skills:
    • Polymer Technology: Experience in additive manufacturing, extrusion, and SEM/XRD/FTIR
    • Computational Fluid Dynamics: Multiphase flows, ANSYS, OPENFOAM
    • Biomedical Engineering: Biomaterials, molecular biology, data analysis (MATLAB, Python)
    • Environmental Engineering: Water quality, climate change, GIS, environmental modeling
    • Electric Mobility: Battery tech, V2G, MATLAB, COMSOL
    • Machine Learning: Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch
    • Sustainable Energy: Solar, wind, bioenergy, energy storage systems
  • Research Record: 15+ SCIE journal articles or combined impact factor of 25 or h-index of 15+

2. Junior Scientist

  • Education: B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, and Ph.D. in Engineering with 0-5 years of post-Ph.D. research experience
  • Research Record: 5+ SCIE journal articles or combined impact factor of 10 or h-index of 5+

3. Senior Research Fellow

  • Education: B.E/B.Tech and M.E/M.Tech with 65% or 7.5 CGPA; GATE preferred
  • Research Record: Minimum 3 SCIE/Scopus-indexed articles

4. Junior Research Fellow

  • Education: B.E/B.Tech with 65% or 7.5 CGPA; GATE preferred

Retired scientists from government research centers or universities are encouraged to apply.
