About the Organization
Established in 1961, SVNIT Surat began as one of the Regional Engineering Colleges (RECs) offering programs in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering. Over the years, the institute expanded its academic offerings to include:
- UG programs in Electronics (1983-84), Computer and Production Engineering (1988-89), and Chemical Engineering (1995-96)
- PG and doctoral programs in various disciplines
- Integrated five-year M.Sc. programs
SVNIT was declared a Deemed University in 2002 and recognized as an Institute of National Importance in 2007. It currently offers six undergraduate, nineteen postgraduate, and three integrated M.Sc. programs.

Qualification & Experience
Candidates applying for the Teaching Assistant role must possess:
- First Class or equivalent CGPA (Minimum 6.5 on a 10-point scale) in M.Phil / M.Sc in Chemistry with a good academic record
- Ph.D. in a relevant branch with First Class or equivalent CGPA
Pay Scale
- Rs. 45,000/- per month for candidates with a Master’s Degree
- Rs. 60,000/- per month for candidates with a Ph.D.
