Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi: Faculty Recruitment 2024 for Teaching Jobs

The Central University of Karnataka (CUK), Kalaburagi, has announced its Teaching Faculty recruitment for the 2024-2025 academic year. Eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in interview or apply via email for teaching positions in colleges.

Job Title:

Assistant Professor (Contract Basis)

Employment Type:

Contractual

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university.
  • Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or hold a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations. Those with a Ph.D. completed before July 11, 2009, are exempt from the NET/SET requirement, subject to meeting the following criteria:
    • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
    • Thesis evaluated by two examiners.
    • An open Ph.D. viva conducted.
    • Two research papers published from Ph.D. work, with at least one in a refereed journal.
    • Two papers presented at conferences/seminars.

Additional Notes:

  • NET/SET is not required for master’s programs in disciplines where these tests are not conducted.
  • Ph.D. degrees from foreign universities ranking within the top 500 (QS, THE, ARWU) are accepted.

Pay Scale:

  • ₹40,000/month for candidates with UGC/CSIR-NET.
  • ₹45,000/month for candidates with UGC/CSIR-NET and Ph.D.
