Job Description
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Kalyani (West Bengal), is inviting online applications from teaching professionals for Group-A Faculty Positions – Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Additional Professor – in various medical departments.
These positions are available on a direct recruitment basis, deputation basis, contract basis, and for retired faculty on a contract basis under SRESTA. AIIMS Kalyani Faculty Age Limit:
- Professor / Additional Professor: Not exceeding 58 years as of the cutoff date.
- Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 50 years as of the cutoff date.
- Age Relaxation: As per Rules.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
- MBBS: A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or Part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part II of the third Scheduled should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act).
- A postgraduate qualification such as M.D. in the relevant specialty.
Minimum Teaching/Research Experience:
- Professor: 14 years for Medical Candidates (OR) 12 years for Super Speciality disciplines. 14 years for Non-Medical candidates.
- Additional Professor: 12 years for Medical (General) Candidates (OR) 8 years for Super Speciality disciplines. 10 years for Non-Medical candidates.
- Associate Professor: 6 years for Medical Candidates (OR) 4 years for Super Speciality disciplines. 6 years for Non-Medical candidates.
Application Fee:
- Deputation (For All Categories): Nil
- General/OBC Candidates: ₹ 3,000/- + 18% GST = ₹ 3,540/-
- EWS Candidates: ₹ 2,400/- + 18% GST = ₹ 2,832/-
- SC/ST Candidates: ₹ 2,400/- + 18% GST = ₹ 2,832/-
- PwBD: Exempted
Payment Method: Online Mode using SBI Collect.

Eligible candidates should submit their applications through the AIIMS Kalyani Online Recruitment Portal or by clicking on the Apply Button. The last date for submission of online applications is 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News which is 10/07/2024.
The last date for receipt of hard copies of online applications, duly signed, along with self-attested copies of relevant documents, is 15 days from the last date of online application submission.
