The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This research-based faculty recruitment is an exciting opportunity for qualified candidates to contribute to the field of cybersecurity in the project Deceptive Defenses: Exploring Cyber Deception in Fortifying the Indian Power Grid Against Ransomware Attacks. This project, under the guidance of Dr. Ghanshyam S. Bopche, aims to improve cyber defenses against ransomware threats, supported by the Power Grid Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security (PGCoE) at IISc Bengaluru.

Essential Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following essential qualifications for the teaching position:
- Undergraduate Degree: B.E/B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent) / BCA / B.Sc. (Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent).
- Postgraduate Degree: M.E/M.Tech/MS (Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, AI & ML, AI & Data Science, or equivalent) / MCA / M.Sc. (Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or equivalent).
- Minimum Marks: 60% or CGPA ≥ 6.5/10 in both UG and PG.
- National Level Test Score: Valid GATE or CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship – Assistant Professorship).
Desirable Qualification:
- Knowledge in System Programming, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
Age Limit:
- Candidates should be below 32 years of age. (Relaxations apply as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PWD candidates.)
Salary/Emoluments:
- ₹37,000 + 18% HRA per month
