Psychology Doctoral Fellow – Counseling and Psychiatric Services Georgetown University

Position Description:

Psychology Postdoctoral Fellows at CAPS support university students with a wide range of psychological needs. Under supervision, Fellows perform essential clinical and consultative services that enhance student wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations of students experiencing psychological distress
  • Provide crisis intervention and brief individual counseling
  • Engage in campus-wide outreach programs
  • Consult with faculty, staff, parents, and deans regarding mental health issues

All services are provided under the supervision of licensed CAPS psychologists.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of a pre-doctoral internship in psychology or a related field
  • Experience or knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
    • Diversity and multicultural issues
    • Eating disorders
    • Substance abuse
    • LGBTQ+ issues
    • Sexual assault trauma

Preferred:

  • Experience in college or university mental health settings

Pay Range:

  • $41,926.00 – $65,090.00
  • Compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, certifications, and institutional needs.
