The Indian Institute of Information Technology Sri City, Chittoor (IIITS) is inviting applications from eligible candidates as Lecturer (on Contract) in the Department of English. IIIT Sri City (IIITS), established in 2013 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament. Job Title

  • Lecturer (on Contract) – English (Language and Communication Skills – Written & Oral)

Employment Type

Contract Basis – Initially for one academic year, with the possibility of further extension.
Note: The contract may be terminated by either side with a 3-month notice or at the end of the semester, whichever is later.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in English OR
  • M.Phil in English with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience OR
  • Master’s in English with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience

Additional Requirements:

  • A good academic record from a CFTI (Centrally Funded Technical Institution) or a reputed national/international university
  • Relevant teaching experience in CFTIs, Institutes of National Importance, or equivalent reputed institutions
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in technical institutions
  • Strong language and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor students from rural backgrounds
  • Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and strong interpersonal skills

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary Range: ₹70,000 (Consolidated), as per the selection committee’s recommendation
  • Other Norms: Shortlisting criteria will be decided by the competent authority of IIITS
