Available Positions
1. Research Fellow – Climate Change and Health
Location: PSPH, MAHE, Manipal
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interdisciplinary research on climate change and public health.
- Analyze environmental and health data, organize events, and develop projects.
- Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
- Collaborate with researchers, policymakers, and institutions to create climate-resilient health strategies.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (minimum) or Ph.D. (preferred) in Public Health, Environmental Science, Climate Science, Epidemiology, or related fields.
- Proficiency in statistical tools (R, Python, SPSS, etc.) and GIS tools (optional but desirable).
- Experience in research related to climate change, public health, or environmental health.
Required Skills:
- Strong academic writing and project management skills.
- Ability to translate findings into actionable public health recommendations.
- Willingness to engage in fieldwork, conferences, and collaborative projects.
2. Research Fellow – Health Demography and One Health
Location: PSPH, MAHE, Manipal
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze trends in population health, including fertility, mortality, migration, and aging.
- Develop models related to health demography and its public health implications.
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and collaborate on health policies.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (minimum) or Ph.D. (preferred) in Demography, Public Health, Statistics, Sociology, or Population Studies.
- Proficiency in demographic tools, statistical software, and population health surveys.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in handling large datasets and demographic analysis.
- Ability to integrate demographic and health perspectives into research.
- Experience in community-based research and stakeholder engagement.
3. Research Fellow – Health Diplomacy and Governance
Location: PSPH Satellite Cell, MAHE – Off-Campus, Bengaluru
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on global health diplomacy and governance structures.
- Analyze global health treaties and their impact on equity and access.
- Collaborate with organizations to enhance research impact and inform health policies.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (minimum) or Ph.D. (preferred) in Global Health, International Relations, or Public Policy.
- Experience in health diplomacy, global governance, and related fields.
- Proficiency in systematic reviews, bibliometric analysis, and policy analysis.
Required Skills:
- Strong policy-writing and academic communication skills.
- Proven ability to engage with government agencies and NGOs.
- Passion for strengthening global health systems and advocating for equity.
